Whitley Riggs

Design has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but the way I practice it has evolved. I spent eight years working in the interior design industry, immersed in renovations, new builds, sourcing, timelines, and the thousands of decisions that quietly shape a home. Then I stepped away to start a family and in that pause, something shifted.

I realized that the way I wanted to work going forward wasn’t about doing more projects. It was about being more present in my work, in my home, and in my life. Today, I still take on a limited number of select design projects each year. But my primary focus is sharing everything I’ve learned: the process behind good design, the decisions that matter most, and the parts of renovations and new builds that no one prepares you for.

Through consultations, guides, and my weekly Substack, I help homeowners navigate their projects with clarity and confidence, especially when things start to feel overwhelming. Because they often do.

I’m here as a resource when the excitement fades and the questions pile up. I’ve lived through the hard parts: the indecision, the missteps, the moments you wish you’d known better, so you don’t have to learn everything the hard way.

These days, I’m designing my own home, raising my two boys, and writing weekly about design, decision making, and the reality behind beautiful spaces. My work is rooted in experience, not perfection and grounded in the belief that good design should feel thoughtful, intentional, and achievable.

If you’re in the middle of a project and feeling unsure, you’re not behind. You’re just in the part of the process that doesn’t get talked about very often.

I’m here to help!

THE VAULT

My weekly Substack is where I share the reality behind designing a home, the decisions, the missteps, and the moments no one prepares you for. It’s part process, part perspective, and always grounded in real experience. I also create guides and checklists designed to support you through the parts of design that feel unclear or overwhelming.
